Bridges, the Internship Program at Protective Life, provides the opportunity for college students to gain relevant work experience in their field of study. The program also allows Protective to assess talent for future full-time employment.
As a Protective Life intern, you will be part of a structured program that will provide you with:
- challenging work assignments and projects that will strengthen your skills,
- an overall understanding of the business,
- networking opportunities, and
- an opportunity to develop life skills

Potential internship areas:
Each summer, Protective hires interns to work in various areas at some of our primary office locations. The recruiting period for the internship program is from September through December of each year, for the following summer’s program.
The various business areas that may offer internships include:
- Accounting - Operations, Tax, Investments, Reporting
- Actuarial - Corporate, Pricing, Product, Valuation
- Corporate Finance - Analysis, Budgeting, Compliance
- Investments/Mortgage Loans - Analysis, Research
- Internal Audit - IT, Operations, Business, Compliance
- Marketing - Product, Graphic Artist
- Human Resources - Benefits, Recruitment, Operations
- MIS - Infrastructure, Application Development, Business Analysis
- Legal - Paralegals, Clerks
