The Lincoln Life Assurance Company of Boston underwriting company has merged into its affiliate, The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company effective October 1, 2021. Protective is still your service provider, so you can expect the same level of service from us.

Your policy features will remain the same without any action required.

If you have recurring payments set up, you will see The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company (rather than Lincoln Life Assurance Company of Boston) on statements after October 1.

Please update information on any premium payments to The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company. Payments directed to Lincoln Life Assurance Company of Boston will be accepted through December 31, 2021.

The merger endorsement is a state-approved form which is the formal notification stating that the company your policy was underwritten by has been merged into a Lincoln affiliate and changes the name of the underwriting company in your policy. The endorsement should be maintained with your policy.
